Products Product Roadmap

With the introduction of Latency Busters® Messaging (LBM) in 2004, 29West established itself as the performance leader in the delivery of streaming market data and other low latency, high performance messaging solutions. We quickly learned from many of our customers that there was a need for new messaging solutions that would combine the performance and low latency of streaming messaging with persistence and delivery confirmation. This need was strongest in larger firms who were hungry for a new messaging model to replace legacy enterprise messaging solutions that provide delivery guarantees.

Breakthrough Guaranteed Messaging

Toward the end of 2005, the development team at 29West responded with the Parallel Persistence® design, which was called Ultra Messaging® for the Enterprise (UME). Release 1.0 of UME was provided to early access customers in Q4 of 2006 and released for general availability in January of 2007.

Moving beyond Market Data

29West is focused solely on the needs of financial application developers and will continue to grow our solution set based on the feedback and needs of our customers. The table below highlights some of the key features and targeted markets for LBM and UME as well as our longer term plans for UMDS and UMCache.
