Products Latency Busters® Messaging
Latency Busters® Messaging (LBM) is a fast, efficient, and lightweight messaging system targeted to serve as the enterprise messaging fabric for the next generation of high-performance applications. Its many unique design features make it particularly well-suited for applications with very high message rates.
LBM software is in production in over 130 systems worldwide. Our customers employ LBM in a wide range of applications, from high-speed financial market data distribution systems to high-performance cluster computing applications.
What's New
The latest version of LBM (4.1) offers a variety of new features, including RDMA and Accelerated Multicast support for Infiniband and 10GigE, plus a newly-redesigned Gateway for more resilience and scalability.
Why Should I Use LBM?
Design—Leveraging the capabilities of modern network hardware is one of LBM’s primary design principles. LBM lets the network infrastructure route messages, not higher-level routing software. A second LBM design principle minimizes latency by reducing the number of hops that a message must pass through. This is done by eliminating messaging daemons and central messaging servers. More...
Key Concepts—This new design has been realized without sacrificing the functionality that applications have come to expect, such as topic-based publish/subscribe messaging, request/response messaging, flexible event handling, reliable message transports, a high degree of scalability, statistics gathering, etc. More...
Messaging Performance—LBM delivers up to an order of magnitude performance improvement over leading solutions in the market today with the ability to deliver over 2.4 million messages per second and latency under 40 microseconds on commodity PC hardware More...
The Result—System designers now have a better choice: LBM. They can choose high-performance and low-latency in a full-featured, highly-configurable messaging product with a proven track record. They are no longer restricted to expensive daemon-based messaging products, low-performance JMS products, or the costly option of developing in-house when performance requirements are high. More...
Integration Flexibility—LBM supports Solaris, Windows (2000, XP, Vista, and 7), AIX, MAC OS X, and x86 Linux platforms, with C, .NET and Java (JNI) language interfaces. We are adding new platforms as market interests evolve. If you have a platform that we have not listed, please contact us.
